How I Build My $50 Holiday Gift Baskets
Published: January 2025
Every year, I create holiday gift baskets for teachers, coworkers, neighbors, and families across Fort Bend County. These baskets started small, and now they’re one of my most popular seasonal products. Here’s exactly how I build them and what goes into each one.
Choosing the Base Items
Each basket includes a mix of homemade treats. I usually let customers choose 1–2 items from each category: chocolate treats, baked goods, and a cozy add-on. My most requested items are:
- Homemade toffee
- Peanut brittle
- Brownies
- Cookies
- Hot cocoa mix
- Gourmet popcorn
Everything is packaged individually to keep it fresh and neat inside the basket.
Presentation Matters
I wrap each basket in clear cellophane, tie it with a ribbon, and add a holiday tag. I use polka-dot bows, festive colors, and sturdy trays so the basket looks high‑quality. Customers always comment that the packaging is what makes the basket feel “gift ready.”
How Long It Takes to Make One Basket
Depending on the items, each basket takes about 30–45 minutes to assemble. During the holidays I make batches of several items at once—trays of brownies, multiple cookie flavors, big batches of popcorn, etc. That helps me stay on schedule.
Why These Baskets Work So Well
They’re customizable, affordable, and everything inside is homemade. Many people want something thoughtful but don’t have time to bake themselves. My baskets solve that problem and look beautiful when delivered.
Final Thoughts
I love making these baskets each year, and I’m grateful for every customer who adds my treats to their holiday traditions. If you’re ordering one, thank you for supporting my small business!
